it was another sunny morning, and rose was taking a walk out. she had been at breakfast when she felt that she needed some fresh air, so she'd grabbed a piece of toast and made her way to the lake. now, staring at the ripples forming on the smooth surface, she threw the piece of toast at the point where she knew the giant squid was emerging. leaning against the oak tree, she looked around. not many people hung around at this time, and she felt at peace. rose was good with company, but she wouldn't say no to a few hours of solitude. suddenly she heard footsteps approaching her and looked back to see who it was.

ella was skipping class. unusual as it was for her, she felt she needed a breath of fresh air. ella never skipped class. she was always punctual, always attentive, a good girl. but restlessness had seeped into her life like evil into the wizarding community. she was distracted, couldn't stand still at one place, and couldn't concentrate. pretty much the same thing, really.
"rosie, hey, didn't expect to see you here." surprise in her voice, ella sat down beside the weasley who shared most of her classes. ella and rosie weren't close, but they were friends. rosie and ella had always gotten along, and ella knew that rosie would not skip a class. then again, mayhap rosie had this period free. ella knew that rosie did not take care of magical creatures. "exhausting days, aren't they? i feel like i can't sleep. god, i am so restless. i just feel like there's something missing, you know? somethings gone wrong. i don't like the feel of it. ever since the potter's death..." ella trailed off, suddenly remembering who she was speaking with.
"ohmygawsh, i am so sorry ! he was your uncle, wasn't he?" ella covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes widened slightly. "gosh, rosie, i didn't mean to bring him up.

" well, i didn't have a class, so i just.." she let her voice trail off as ella sat beside her and started talking. one of the many fun things about ella was that she always had something to talk about, and most importantly, she was modest. she didn't gossip like most girls, but talked about things that really mattered. like, right now, she was talking of the wizarding world. rose felt the same way, and ever since the horror of the potter's death...ella was right, she had been close to the potters, and harry potter had been her uncle. the wizarding world was under darkness once again, as it had been in her grandparents days, as well as her parents. and the potters were the wizarding world's only hope..and they were dead. " it's okay." she said, refusing to feel sadness and despair. there was still hope. there would still be revenge. all was not yet lost. " i mean, it's the truth isn't it? there's no use hiding from it. the least we can do is face the truth, and be ready for whatever comes our way. even if there is a new dark lord, we can still defeat him." she said, determination in her voice.
